Word from the Pastor

If you are local, I pray that you would join us for both corporate and small group worship. I would love to have the opportunity to hear your story and to walk you through the Disciple’s Path.

THE DNA OF WOBC

W – Worship (I am living out my new identity in Christ.)

O – Obey (I am being transformed by the Word of God.)

B – Belong (I am growing in my love for God and others.)

C-Call (I am joining God in His work.)

At WOBC we take “Oneness” seriously. This is why The Disciple’s Path is the DNA of WOBC. And I am praying we will see more people get on The Disciple’s Path. Notice the B on the Disciples Path. Belong—I am growing in my love for God and others. This is what I would call “oneness.”

Acts 2:46-47

46 Every day they devoted themselves to meeting together in the temple complex, and broke bread from house to house. They ate their food with a joyful and humble attitude, 47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And every day the Lord added to them those who were being saved.

Acts 2:46 says the people were compelled to be under the apostles teaching (The teaching of Jesus, the Living Word). It was so important to the Jewish Believers that they met in the temple complex everyday!

Luke 24:27 (HCSB)

27 Then beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, He interpreted for them the things concerning Himself in all the Scriptures.

Meeting together in the temple complex would be with what takes place during our time of corporate worship. This corporate worship overflowed into their homes as they broke bread from house to house and ate their food with a joyful and humble heart.

Their hearts were full of humility, joy, and praise (47). As a result, they had favor with all people and every day the Lord added to them those who were being saved (47).

I praise God for the body of Christ. And when we are “one” in Him. It is a power like no other! May the Lord’s favor be on WOBC. May He add to WOBC those who are being called to His Name. If you don’t have a church family, I pray that it would be you!
